WEATHER - Mixed weather this week throughout the region, mainly dry but changing on the weekend with wet rainy weather expected for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are in the high teens at 17 - 19 degrees through the week. Wind is constantly around the 20 mph range with mainly Westerly winds, the highest winds should be on Saturday up to 25 mph in parts. GORGE WALKING, CANYONING, GORGE SCRAMBLING CARDIFF AND SWANSEA PREDICTED REPORT - Looking good for the next few days with rainfall on Saturday and Sunday and the rivers still in good flow after the rains early in August. Levels at the moment are .25 and will possibly rise to .45 depending on the rain fall on Saturday. These will be perfect levels for Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling and Canyoning on the Sychryd and Mellte rivers. All gorge activities should be suitable depending on the river debris and as stated the constant river flow. As always the rivers are cold at around 6 - 8 degrees so full protection should be worn including Wetsuits, Buoyancy Aids, Helmets, Trainers, walking boots, wellingtons, under layers and thermals.

WIND -  Steady moderate winds through the week in a Westerly direction for most days. Saturday should see the strongest winds up to 25mph. The rest of the week should be around 20 mph Westerlies with Monday dropping off slightly.
SEA STATE and SWELL -  Rougher seas will be on Saturday and Sunday with the biggest winds up to 25 mph Westerly. Choppy seas all week with 20 mph winds with unsettled inshore conditions.

COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT - Not looking good for coasteering this week, moderate to high winds, big swells and surf. All conditions looking unsuitable for coasteering for the local areas such as Barry, Cold Knap, Southerdown, Ogmore by Sea, Porthcawl, Caswell bay etc. Only possibility may be Stackpole Quay on the days with the smaller swells.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, BRECON BEACONS, SOUTH WALES REPORT SUMMARY - Gorge Walking, gorge scrambling, Canyoning and all gorge related events are looking perfect with conditions for the next few days. Steady rain and good flowing rivers are perfect for the activities. We have Rob and the lads on their Stag weekend in Cardiff Canyoning this Saturday and Hannah and the girls on their Hen party weekend and in Cardiff gorge walking. Coasteering however is not looking good but the surf should be good on the sheltered beaches.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SOUTH WALES CONDITIONS REPORT UPDATE - The rain has not been as prolonged or heavy as predicted and the river levels are running at there normal levels of .25 meters. All gorge walking, gorge scrambling and canyoning activities are looking perfect at the moment with river levels and conditions looking very good for the next few days. The swell and the winds are still big at the moment so coasteering is not looking suitable especially along the coastline close to Cardiff, Barry, Ogmore By Sea, Southerndown all the way to stackpole quay. Surf is looking consistent but onshore winds may make certain exposed areas un surfable.
