WEATHER - Very changeable and unpredictable this week ahead, heavy rain coming in for Friday and Saturday and strong winds. From Sunday onwards the weather will settle with light rain and lesser winds. From Saturday onwards the weather will feel colder with lower temperatures and high Easterly winds. The Friday and Saturday have been issued with a weather warning with the ground saturated and the rain level predicted but this could change with the wind blowing the rain through . We shall keep a constant update. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2648385?day=2) (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcjqmsw80

RIVER LEVEL and TEMPERATURE - .30 meters high and 7 Degrees (http://rloi.naturalresources.wales/ViewDetails?station=4121)
EXPECTED RIVER LEVEL OVER NEXT 72 HOURS - .30 meters - 1.2 meters

GORGE WALKING, CANYONING, GORGE SCRAMBLING CARDIFF AND SWANSEA PREDICTED REPORT - Tricky one to predict this week as the land is wet and the rain is due over the next few days. Possible high level rivers for Friday and Saturday but exact levels not know, definitely swift water and definitely no Canyoning due to the water levels. Gorge walking could be good with swift water crossings and watching the rivers in full flow. The waterfalls will be epic so great time to walk around the falls and see there full power a times. If the rain eases off into Saturday the rivers should be good for gorge walking and gorge scrambling but probably not suitable for Canyoning. The rest of the days from Sunday onwards are looking good for all events including Canyoning. Must be on high alert for debris entering into the rivers.

WIND -  Gale force winds on Saturday and Sunday up to 45 mph South Westerly are predicted. Sunday and Monday will ease back to 14 mph Easterly and then pick up to 24 mph Easterlies on Tuesday and Wednesday / Changeable winds for the next few days with varied directions and wind speeds.
SEA STATE and SWELL -  Friday and Saturday are going to be very rough in the Sea with high winds and huge swells across South Wales. The wind will be changing to Easterlies for the next part of the week so the sea state should be calmer and the swell is also dropping to give better conditions.
SWELL and SURF FORECAST Thursday 24 October 6ft/ Friday 25 October 2019 5ft / Saturday 26 October 2019 14ft /Sunday 27 October 6ft/ Monday 28 October 2019 2ft / Tuesday 29 October 2019 2ft / Wednesday 30 October 2ft / Thursday 31 October 2019
HIGH TIDE - Thursday 24 October 2019 - 3.57pm / 8.5meters WATER TEMPERATURE - 14 DEGREES

COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT - Definitely no coasteering predicted for the next few days, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday however could be a better option with earterly offshore winds and low swells predicted for the early part of next week. The best day is looking like Monday with tides moving to early evening. Must be aware of strong cold winds from the East and wrap up warm as sea temperatures are dropping.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES UPDATE 24TH OCTOBER 2019 - Turbulent few days ahead with strong winds, big swells and heavy rain, could be epic but could also be volatile. We will check conditions constantly to make sure that the events are feasible. Sunday onwards is looking good with the wind, rain and swell calming down and the rivers in full flow and the seas calming, should be awesome few days next week.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES REPORT UPDATE 26TH OCTOBER 2019 - The rain and wind has been heavy and strong through the last few hours, however there is a chance that the rain will ease off and the conditions will clear and settle. River levels were at 1.14 meters early this morning so there would be no Canyoning but if river levels drop there would be a chance of swift water gorge walking with low level traversing and bouldering and Instructed river crossings and river walking with full technical cover. Numbers in the rivers would have to be low and fully Instructed and briefed with high instructor coverage, after full brief all members must consider the risks of entering into the water and be aware of their own personal safety, this must only be attempted with the assistance and instruction of Professional personnel with competency and experience.
