GORGE WALKING, GORGE SCRAMBLING, CANYONING CONDITIONS REPORT 30.01.2020 - At the moment the river levels are perfect for Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling and Canyoning at .4 meters, this however will rise as the rainfall increases through out the week. River levels will get high for Canyoning first and then for Gorge activities turning into swift water throughout the region. The next few days will see river levels under . 5 meters which is good for all events but higher will mean Canyoning being unsuitable.
COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT 3oth January 2020 - Coasteering is definitely no go local to Porthcawl this week and for the next few day. The swell is high, the surf is big and the wind is gale force. Rough seas will cause unsuitable conditions for coasteering. There may be a possibility in more sheltered areas on Thursday with the incoming high tide and possibility Wednesday next week.
WIND - High winds again this week mainly from the West and South Westerly directions. Winds generally around the 30 mph Westerly and South Westerly every day with the highest winds on Saturday up to 34 mph. Also Tuesday may see winds of up to 34 mph and possibly into Wednesday next week.
SEA STATE and SWELL - Rough seas predicted for this week, high winds, big surf and big swells all causing inshore and off shore rough sea conditions. Main days will be Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday for the roughest seas.
