Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 19th February 2022 - Rivers close to Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons, Bridgend, Llanelli, Camarthenshire and throughout South Wales are flowing at the higher levels at the moment. Monitoring Stations on the Mellte River are showing levels of .583 meters in the region and on the higher level for the Canyoning events. Gorge Walking and Gorge Scrambling will be suitable at the moment but with the incoming rain will become unsuitable quite rapidly. Advice would be to stay out of the rivers for the next couple of days especially with the debris and damages caused by Storm Eunice. The end of next week will see lower rainfall and dryer conditions but there will still be safety concerns due to the debris and high winds. River levels must be assessed constantly to make sure there are safe water levels in the region for the events. Coasteering Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, South Wales predicted weekly report 19th February 2022 - Yet again the seas are very stormy, Storm Eunice has brought chaos to the area with huge winds and massive swells. Sea conditions are extremely volatile and should be avoided completely for the next few days. Swells have been as high as 25 foot and rip currents and flash waves and rips constant along the shore line. Definately need to give coasteering a miss for the next few days.
