The weather will then get colder, dryer and settle down with lighter winds from the North. Saturday will have winds up to 25 mph Westerly but settling down to lower 5 mph Northerly. GORGE WALKING, GORGE SCRAMBLING, CANYONING CONDITIONS REPORT 16.01.2020 - Rivers Mellte and the Sychryd are running very high at the moment up to 1.23 meters which is too high for Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling and Canyoning. The next couple of days also has rain and high water levels meaning Canyoning will definately be unsuitable and possibly Gorge events. As the water levels drop the rivers will become more accessible and suitable for all gorge and canyon events in the Brecon Beacons region. There will be a updates through the week due to the changing river levels.

COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT 16th JANUARY 2020 - Next few days is a definite no go for coasteering due to the high winds and big surf and swell. The swell will be 6 foot plus for the next few days so no real prospect of coast activities. The wind and the swell will reduce into next week so maybe a possibility on Monday with the lesser swell and lighter wind conditions.

WIND -  High winds on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with South Westerly 30 mph winds on Thursday, 40 mph South Easterlies on Friday and 25 mph Westerlies on Saturday. From Sunday onwards the winds will change Northerly and lighter dropping down to 3 mph.
SEA STATE and SWELL -  Stormy seas on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with higher winds and bigger swells. The roughest day will be Thursday and Friday with the higher winds. From Sunday onwards the winds will drop and the sea state will calm down considerably will still calm seas on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
