GORGE WALKING, CANYONING, GORGE SCRAMBLING CARDIFF AND SWANSEA PREDICTED REPORT - All river mountain activities over the next three days should be very good with low rainfall and the rivers still flowing after the previous rainfall. Levels are .25 meters in the Mellte river at the moment and will hold until Sunday evening so all gorge walking, gorge scrambling and Canyoning events will be good for the next few days and into Sunday. Sunday will start to change as rain comes into the region and heavy rain predicted for Monday. Rivers may get up to and past teh .75 region which would mean canyoning being unacceptable with river levels to high in the Mellte river. Depending on the height of the rivers gorge activities may still be acceptable but ran as a swift water event with extreme caution. Updates will be given through the week.
WIND - Big week of wind ahead, Thursday will be quiet with settled Easterly winds, Friday will pick up considerably with winds up to 35mph and the same on Saturday coming from the East. Sunday and Monday will drop to 20mph but then pick back up to gale force on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. Wind direction will change to Southerly and Westerly from Sunday onwards.
SEA STATE and SWELL - Sea state will be calm on Thursday and calm on inshore waters on Friday and Saturday even with the high winds as the direction will be offshore for most inshore areas. As the wind turns to Southerly and Westerly the conditions will change dramatically and the sea will become rougher especially on Tuesday and Wednesday as the wind gets higher and so does the swell up to 11 foot on Tuesday.

COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT - Coasteering conditions this week have been perfect with light winds and low swells. Thursday is also looking very good, Friday and Saturday could be good but there are very strong gale force Easterly winds which are offshore for the area but very high to be walking across the cliff faces. Sea conditions should be good and swell is low but the wind could cause a problem with walking and jumping off the cliff faces. Also swimming would be trickier as the offshore winds would push out to sea. From Sunday onwards the coasteering will be out of bounds due to big swell and surf conditions and the high winds changing to a Westerly and Southerly direction.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, BRECON BEACONS, SOUTH WALES REPORT SUMMARY - Another big weekend and week ahead with Rosy and the girls on their hen party in Cardiff canyoning and Sharj and the lads on their stag weekend in Cardiff coasteering if the conditions allow or Canyoning if the weather and conditions are unsuitable. It is a tale of two halves this week with the stormy weather ascending on the region to affect all activities especially on the gorge and coasteering.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES UPDATE 20.09.2019 - Very good conditions for gorge walking, gorge scrambling and Canyoning for the next couple of days, rain will be coming in over the weekend. Coasteering is looking hit and miss as the water conditions are good but the wind is very strong which may be unsuitable for coasteering.
